Recording Radio Interviews - Publishing Companies in Alabama

Recording Radio Interviews

Nate Fortner

http://WhosoeverPress.com Boaz Alabama, So, you’ve landed a radio interview huh? Well, congratulations on your achievement. I’m sure you worked hard to get the interview. I just need to tell you a few things that will help you in the future.

Be sure when you go in to the station, you ask if they will be recording the interview. If so, you want a copy burned on a disc or an email sent to you with the entire interview. Be prepared by taking an audio recorder with you just in case. Be sure to ask permission to record the interview though. I’ve never been told that I wasn’t allowed to record the interview, so try. The really awesome thing is, most cell phones now have built in recorders.

You want a copy of the interview to place on your website. Put this audio into a YouTube video as well. You need this interview, so you can start getting it circulating around the internet. This is another piece of content you can use to help people discover you!

Radio interviews give you credibility. Being heard on radio by family and friends almost gives you the local celebrity status. You become a local celebrity, and then build on that. Again, make sure that you obtain a copy of the interview from the station, or record it on your phone. You could also take the audio and upload it as a podcast on your website or itunes. Remember, you must think in terms of global proportions. You must become Omnipresent! A radio interview will instantly give you credibility as a reliable resource. Make sure you are scheduling interviews as often as possible, so you can continue to reach new people.

Starbucks Says "No More Prancing Reindeer on our #RedCup!" - Publishing Companies in Alabama

Starbucks Says “NO More Prancing Reindeer on our #RedCup!”

 Nate Fortner

So, I’m sure by now that you’ve heard all the saga over the Starbucks #redcup. Howard Shultz, Chairman and CEO of Starbucks recently made the decision to not have holiday references on their cups for the Christmas season. Instead, they would go with a simple #redcup. Previous holiday cups portrayed images of prancing reindeer, and other winter characters such as snowmen. It has outraged many of their customers to make such claims that “Starbucks hates Christians,” or that “Starbucks has banned Christmas.” One I even heard was, “Starbucks hates Jesus.” Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump even suggested boycotting Starbucks over the cups. Later, a Starbucks representative stated that they offer a Christmas blend that is available in stores around the world.
Even though we live in America, and Christmas is a major part of our culture, I find it funny that people would expect a Jewish-owned company to have Jesus printed on their cups. Did Starbucks ever have literal Christmas images displayed on their cups to begin with anyway? Snowmen aren’t symbolic to Christmas. They’re a winter fictional character made popular by Jack Rollins and Steve Nelson in the 1950’s when they wrote “Frosty the Snowman,” and Gene Autry and the Cass Country Boys released it to radio. On the other hand, if you choose not to support the #redcup, one thing’s for sure. Dunkin’ Donuts has risen to the occasion stating that they will gladly continue printing holiday cups. Regardless of what any of us may think, maybe it's just a marketing ploy. This may prove to be a huge money maker for the coffee giant. This is brilliant marketing!
While the country many be in despair over the #redcup, one thing still holds true here on Sand Mountain. Jamoka’s Coffee Company has been proudly serving our community since 2005. Now with three locations: Boaz, Albertville, and Guntersville. Stop in today and get a latte of holiday drink choices, and remember, #ItsJustACup!

Merry Christmas!

The Making of a #1 Best Seller

The Making of a #1 Best Seller

Nate Fortner

Have you ever wondered how to make your book a #1 Best Seller? The answer is simple, but the process you choose to make it happen may not be so simple. The answer to making any book a #1 Best Seller is to have books flying off of the shelves. Sounds easy enough don’t you think? You must be getting a ton of attention. You need to make sure your book is getting distribution, and then, people must know your book exists.

Writing your book was the easy part. Selling it is the hard part. Make sure to get as much publicity as possible. Learn to become omnipresent, and push for celebrity status in your town. Once you’ve established yourself as a local celebrity, start expanding your reach. If you ever expect your book to take off and be a success, you must get attention.

Marketing is going to require you to be creative. You must stand out, or at least a head taller than everyone else. You need a mob rushing into bookstores nationwide buying your books when they release. You can read any book on marketing and advertising that you want, but I assure you, they will all tell you the same thing. Your message must constantly be in the sight and mind of your target market.

Go ahead and tear down the walls of doubt, and get committed to success! Marketing and promoting your book is like eating. You have to do it every day if you want to gain energy. Pour your heart into it. There is no marketing miracle cure. There is no secret to selling millions of copies instantaneously. You must live to market, and market to win! “Word of Mouth” will never make you a #1 Best Seller! “Word of Mouth” and “Getting Attention” are almost the same, but they’re not. “Word of Mouth” means people are talking about you. “Getting Attention” is putting your message into their face whether they want to see it or not. “Word of Mouth,” can also hurt you. It just takes one bad egg to ruin the bunch. Make sure you are creating the buzz you want people to know about your book. You need to push hard every day!

You must sell people on the idea that your book will solve the problems they are currently facing in their lives, business, etc. It’s time to leave your mark on this planet. Make sure people know who you are, even if it requires you standing on the street with a cardboard sign saying you’ll read for $1.00. You must make a commitment to live a life dedicated to making sure your book sits on every coffee table, is in every doctor’s office, is in every hotel room, and every prisoner has read your book. You want people chanting your name in the streets and from the roof tops. You must be purpose driven!

“May the Lord give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.”  Psalm 20:3

Self-Promotion Is A Must!

Self-Promotion Is A Must!

Nate Fortner

No one believes in you as much as you. No one cares about your message as much as you. No one knows you like you. Become a celebrity in your space. You must promote yourself. Your existence depends on promotion. No one will ever advertise and promote you like you. Promote yourself until you know yourself better than you previously knew yourself. Push hard every single day! Use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Blogs. It’s all free!

YouTube is a must! You must be promoting your book, product, or business in video form. You must get attention! Hang flyers, handout business cards, and mail postcards. Put a quarter in a Newspaper machine, and stuff those papers with your flyers! Get massive attention! Your future success depends on how much attention you’re getting. Have yard signs made and placed everywhere across the country. Take 20 to 30 signs and go out on the interstate at night when traffic is low, and post your signs in the median or road side every few thousand feet for 10 to 2 miles. Stand out and get massive attention!

"You" In the News!

Credibility is important, especially when no one knows who you are! As you create content, and you become more in demand as a valuable person, you will get more media exposure. The best way to get in the news is to create the news you want people to know! This is a very powerful concept if you learn to make it work for you. Learn to write Press Release, and submit them to your local News Papers. All they can do is say now they're not going to run your story. Keep going though, and try to tie it in with something current to increase your chances of being printed. You can also submit your release online for free to: http://PRLog.org

The key is to capitalize on that exposure! Do a Google search on your name monthly, searching for new content about you that the media is printing. I've found multiple web links where I've been mentioned  that I didn't even know existed. Create a page on your website titled, "YOUR NAME in the News." Add links on this page to every News Paper Article, TV Show, Radio Interview, Blog Mention, or anything that promotes you! Make sure when people visit your site, they are bombarded with the message of who you are! See how I did it at: http://NateFortner.com

When you write new blogs, or post anything online, make sure you add links inside your posts. Push people to your content! Push people to you TV Interviews, and Articles. Show them that you're the person for the job! As Grant Cardone says, "Obscurity is your biggest problem!"

"Quality content in the hands of your prospects produces sales!"
