The Favor Factor
Nate Fortner
Favor - “To feel or show approval or preference for.”
At some point in your life, you’ve known at least one person
who has received a job, promotion, raise, or something simply because of who
they were or who they knew. That’s called “The Favor Factor.” Whether you like
the idea or not, now is the time to flip though the rolodex of your mind, and
remember those who you have helped in the past. Make a list of those people,
the influential people in your life, and anyone who owes you a favor.
To be quite honest, some things in life only happen for you
because of who you know. “The Favor Factor” must be a part of your marketing
plan. Talent is never enough. You need to reach out to the influential people
in your life like your Pastor, School Principal, College Professor, the CEO of
the company that employs you, or even your celebrity cousin who chills with Leo
or Cruise on the weekends. It’s time to dig deep, and ask for some free
promotion from those who can help you make some waves. Think in Tsunami
proportions! Get some hurricane force winds of favor blowing in your direction!
There have been many times in my life that had it not been
for the people I knew, I’d have been sitting on the sidelines. There has always
been someone more qualified, more educated, more financially feasible, or
better looking, but I got the job due to the sweatless favor of others in my
life.
Use the power of “The Favor Factor” to drive book sales, and
become a person of influence yourself. You must embrace this idea of getting
what you deserve, and don’t be afraid to ask for help from those whom you have
favor. Most of them will be more than willing to give you a plug for your book.
Most will feel honored that you asked them to be a part of helping to get your
book the attention it deserves.
Having the favor of just one influential person could boost
your book sales over the top. Favor will open doors that have been bolted shut
for years. “The Favor Factor” will produce prosperity, protection, influence
and many other advantages. The favor of the right person could be the weight
you need to tip the scales in your direction.
“For
You, O Lord, will bless the
righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
(NKJV, Psalm 5:12).
